Delineando a trajetória do Núcleo de Segurança do Paciente em uma instituição psiquiátrica

Abstract

Brief communication that aims to describe the experience in the implementation of the Patient Safety Center in a psychiatric institution of the Brazilian Navy and the strategies developed to make care more qualified and safer. This is a descriptive study whose data were collected in the first half of 2022. The results described the initial actions taken in the context of the creation of the Patient Safety Center in 2014 and the evolution of the service to its current conformation, which had the year 2021 as a milestone. It is understood that the Center has performed a multifaceted work, based on official and scientific publications and that invests in the mitigation of failures, seeking continuous and interdisciplinary dialogue with the health team. In this way, it is in line with the proposed objectives and contributes to the excellence of the assistance provided to the Navy Health System user.
