Segurança do paciente no Hospital Naval Marcílio Dias
desafios e perspectivas
Abstract
The quality of health care has a significant impact on Health Systems, which makes the Patient Safety an issue of relevance and discussion in the field of Public Health. This paper is an experience report that aimed to describe the process of implementation of the Center for Patient Safety (CPS) at the Marcílio Dias Navy Hospital (HNMD), occurred in 2014, and its development to the present day. This report was compiled from bibliographic/documentary research and professional experience of the authors during the process. The results showed that the CPS of HNMD has been acting in line with the objectives of the National Patient Safety Policy and the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) Board Resolution RDC No. 36/2013 and has developed different strategies to promote the improvement in the quality of healthcare provision. It is understood that the work performed by this new service
proposed by the legislation in question confirms the need for investment in a risk management focused on the assistance, which can be considered a challenge, given the complexity of the care provided by a large hospital.
