Abstract

The Project of Oral Health Closed Group, inserted in the Oral Health Program (PSB) of Brazilian Navy, aims at optimizing the dental attendance of a certain group of patients of the Naval Policlinics of Niterói. This study has the objective to compare the resolutivity of basic attention of the Project with Integrate Dentistry. The Project is being applied since April 2012, and basic attention high indexes in the Closed Group Project were 89% (2012), 85% (2013), 84% (up to April 2014) and in Integrate Clinics, the indexes were respectively 19%, 20%, 17%. In relation to absenteeism, the following results were obtained: Closed Group: 6% in 2012, 10% in 2013 and 12% up to April 2014; while in Integrate Dentistry, were 30%, 35% and 35%, respectively. Although the access to the Project is still restricted, the results obtained are expressive and favors a more efficient response to basic attention.
